Howe Green Has It Covered At The UK’s First Palm Resaurant

One of America’s largest family owned chain of fine dining restaurants has headed over to British shores, opening up the first UK Palm restaurant in Belgravia. Market leaders in floor, wall and ceiling access panels, Howe Green supplied the restaurant with a range of its products to provide easy access to concealed services without affecting the aesthetics of the restaurant.

Palm Restaurant Floor Access CoversSpecialists in interior refurbishment Fileturn Contractors undertook the fit out of the restaurant, fitting five of Howe Green 5000 series aluminum covers and one of its Visedge covers.

The 5000 series aluminum covers were used in the restaurants signature hardwood floor of the lower level private dining area. The Visedge cover was perfect for the flexible flooring in the basement of the restaurant.

The panels provide easy access to essential building services such as plumbing and electrics. They are designed to sit 100% flush with the floor to ensure they do not create a trip hazard and offer proven reliability to withstand high levels of foot traffic. Double sealed to ensure no water ingress or dirt trapping, the access covers offer the peace of mind of a clean floor.

The 5000 series is specially designed for hard flooring whilst the Visedge range is suitable for flexible flooring such as vinyl, linoleum, rubber and some carpets. The Visedge access panels excel in cleanliness, hygiene and durability tests and are perfect for commercial applications such as kitchens and hospitals.

Each access panel from Howe Green is manufactured to client’s exact specifications. Thanks to modern manufacturing techniques and the company’s innovative approach to product design, the bespoke nature of the panels does not come with a price associated with bespoke manufacturing. Instead Howe Green is able to offer competitively priced panels, designed for exact purposes.

The design of the Palm restaurants dates back to when the first restaurant was launched during the Great Depression in 1926. As no funds where available for decoration, local journalists provided cartoons in exchange for food. In the chains 27 restaurants caricatures adorn the walls of famous and loyal customers. The London branch has followed this informal signature design, including banquette seating and hardwood floors. The restaurant seats 130 with an additional private dining area for up to 40 on the lower level, and a small holding bar.

Now complete the project is a further illustration of Howe Green’s ability to provide innovative products to high profile projects.
